Emphasizing the daily ritual of self-care through traditional modalities of wellness and Chinese medicine, Golden Hour is an acupuncture and massage studio in Southeast Portland. Founder Janet Jay created the healing space as an homage to her upbringing and experiences with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Designed to make all visitors feel welcome and comfortable, the interior is light-filled with modern furniture and a retail shop stocked with clean beauty purveyors.

Joining the Golden Hour shortly after its opening, I was the in-house copywriter for over two years. Translating their brand voice across platforms, my role encompassed social media management, email marketing via Mailchimp, and the facilitation of community partnerships and workshops with brands like barre3, Moodbeli, CAP Beauty, Wildcare, and others.

My position was highly collaborative as I worked with practitioners to bring fulfilling health and wellness content to Golden Hour’s target audiences. In addition to maintaining Golden Hour’s social strategy through copy, I came up with the art direction for the brand and took many of the photographs for Instagram, focusing on retail products and interior design.

  
 
Golden Hour’s content pillars for Instagram were focused on education around Chinese medicine, nutrition, product, and space.
